Parents
The following resources are compiled from various CMS resources. For more helpful information about speech-language and special education services at CMS, please visit the Exceptional Children website.
Typical Developmental Milestones

Access these guidelines here.
They also outline helpful speech development milestones for children birth to five years old.

Growing Speech and Language at Home
Students may spend up to an hour in speech-language therapy each week at school, which means they spend the remaining 167 hours in their classrooms, at home, and in their community. Sometimes parents feel they don't know how to encourage speech and language growth at home and in the community. Perhaps these resources and tips can help. I've highlighted a few of my favorites. They are compiled from the ASHA Leader Blog and you can access the full post here.
